Shri Praveen Kumar, presently the Executive Director at Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), has been recommended by the Public Enterprise Selection Board (PSEB) for the post of Managing Director – DFCCIL.
Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) is a Schedule ‘A’ public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, established on October 30, 2006. DFCCIL was created to plan, develop, mobilize financial resources, and manage the construction, operation, and maintenance of dedicated freight corridors along the Eastern and Western arms of the Indian Railways’ Golden Quadrilateral. This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and capacity of freight transport, addressing the high saturation and capacity constraints of India’s key rail routes. DFCCIL plays a crucial role in supporting the country’s growing infrastructure needs and promoting ecological sustainability by encouraging the use of railways for freight transport.
